This is what our employment system has become for the many people I meet - the situation is similar
& its funny that it doesnt matter if you have - more experience or a degree - all that matter - is that you know people - that know some people

I wrote this blog back in July - July 23rd to be exact -
right now as an update (& currently going through all my draft blogs)
Im currently working 2 part-time jobs - that I love...
On the weekends I work at a Day Spa as a Coordinator & enjoy free microdermabrasions w/a facial (currently a $250 treatment)
Monday's & Friday's - I work at a hair salon - as a Receptionist (& receive free hair care - another benefit - since I like to keep my hair done)
- I also do some odd work for different people - if I so choose to work on my 3 days off
And what I realized is that
- I stopped looking for a job - to complete me or to give me a meaning
and start looking for my future & what Im good at & what I need to do (my purpose)
so that I would stop being boried - everytime I started working that 9-5 job
Im so much happier now- becuz - I found a peace of mind
I still look for that "full time" job that will lead me to a life of limitless shopping at Saks - but for now - Im comfortable shopping at TJ Max...
& God - has a way of showing us (ME) - what's important & how less important those other things are not
& thus - the lesson is learned
wanting more than just a job - I found humility

When to call?

I wanted to address one of my questions from the dating survey ( a previous blog) -
When to call?
Let me first say - that unless you are in high school - there should be no waiting 2 or 3 days before you make "the call" thats childdess and STUPID -(point blank) she wont think that you are desperate - she will only think that you like her (dummy) & dont you want her to think that you like her??? (this was actually a Seinfeld episode)
My suggestion:
If your interested call (that seems pretty simple)

Yesterday (Saturday) - I was - some what boried... I wanted to go... somewhere I wanted to be somewhere - but I couldnt.. I wanted to spend time with someone - but I couldnt... So I had to deal with me - entertaining ME The first thing i did was clean my room (Smurf - it felt good cuz I did it when I wanted to do it - not when anyone expected me to) Then I play a few classic games of solitare (drinking my wine) I stepped out front only to view my very nosy, 66 year-old, gossipin neighbor drinkin a beer - talking about she's chillin - Pardon me - but she doesnt act like any 66 year old I know - or would respect in the grandma age - she needs to be somewhere - baking somebody a peach cobbler... Anyhow - so thats how my neighbor spent her time entertaining herself Me...-after a few games of solitare - and text messaging - I didnt know whether to reach for a book or an previously view DVD - So - I guess Im just not used to being alone I guess I would rather being doing something - rather than nothing & trying to figure out something to do I would rather be doing something (& maybe even nothing) with someone - so that we can feel boried together & I wonder if this is the importance of companionship (for when you get older) I could have been out with someone that I didnt even want to have occupy my time & so I didnt waste a precious Saturday evening - allowing them to believe that they had enough stock to purchase that slot My girlfriend Ryane' was in town My girlfriend Sandy was out of town Nia was no where to be found Smurf was broken down & .... you get the point I was boried & I went to sleep early Tonight I have a phone date -LOL! but Im hoping for something more exciting Teaism Yes - my friends - I am a coffee addict - but I would like to take a special moment to talk about - a neighbor of coffee....TEA Tea is a woman that lives in between Mr. Coffee & Cocoa - Cocoa is bi-sexual and knows how to make everyone fall in love with her/him...(even children) Anyhow - I went to Tea(ism) - because Mr. Coffee was out of town on bizness & I wanted to try something old - but something new... I must say - Tea(ism) is a hot (& sometimes cold) - I especially enjoyed brunch - (I never had Chicken/apple saugage that taste so good.) - maybe I'll wear some white gloves next time and have someone teach me how to play bridge Anyhow - i advise you to try some Tea(ism) - she's (its) more on the oriental side - (even though I mostly prefer British) - it was very delightful & just in case you didnt get my story - Teaism is actually a place... Thursday, August 04, 2005 Conversations with God Dear GOD: I just cant stop - trying to figure things out - you know me - I mean you made me this way I mean - who said - letting go was easy? who said - just let go & let GOD I mean - why shouldnt I worry about it? it has to deal with me I mean - how can I NOT think about - how its going to happen? - when I have only one day - before it needs to happen & Im scared............. Im scared to let you do it on your own - because you need my help - dont you????? YOU need me to tell you how to work it out Cant u just do it like this... for me If you tell that person - give me my money back - give me "my" car back - everything would be perfect... RIGHT!????? If you get me the job I need/want/must have- and I didnt have to put much effort into it - than THIS will make me happy! So what am I forgetting? (that I am GOD) what is so wrong with my idea? Now tell everyone how great they look - even if they dont look great - after their deep cleansing - facial with extractionss and an added chemical peel. Me: How was everything! Them: Great... Great - its - always Great! Me: Well - good - because you look Red! You know consistency is the key - I say Come back in 2 weeks - Repeat serveral times - until we can get you to purchase one of our series packages (a sets of 3 or 6 - so that you can atleast spend $500 more dollars before you leave here today) It pays to be beautiful - literally! I love to look beautiful - seriously & thats why all my work will be done for free Even if I have to work over time - the sign reads: I will work for a facial & dammit - I mean it!!!
